The Problem of the Hot World Book Review

Pam Bonper is pure genius. The way this book is written is wonderful and easy to follow. You'll go on a great adventure with five forest friends. What is great about this book? You can use this story to open a group discussion or bring up the topic of global warming.

Owl, Fox, Deer, Bear and Mole try to figure out why the world has suddenly become to hot. When they notice the plants dying and the bees disappearing they realize something troubling is happening.

The five friends try to find a solution to the problem by going on a crazy and silly adventure. What they discover is quite interesting. The five friends stumble upon a cave and they are sent back in time to the forest before it became hot.

The lesson to be learned here is.. We only have one earth and we need to take care of it. We sometimes forget about the animals in the forest. Trees are constantly be cut down Without trees there is no shade, food, or oxygen for the forest animals.

This book is great for school aged children. They can learn the importance of taking care of out planet and use it to open up discussions about global warming.

I loved reading this book to my five-year-old. We had a brief discussion on what global warming is and what we can to to protect our planet.

Love how easy the story flows and the illustrations are wonderful.

Another great book to add to my story time routine.

Summer is here and some of us are working hard to get that nice summer tan. What if I told you about a great tanning lotion? Florida's Finest tan comes in a five ounce tube. It is made with essential oils. It is SPF 10. The lotion itself is orange. It has a nice fragrance. Does not have a harsh scent like other tanning lotions. It is easy to apply. Apply it about 15 minutes before sun exposure. You can re-apply it about an hour and 20 minutes after you swim or sweat. You will have to apply it immediately after towel drying. Best results re-apply after 2 hours. This lotion does help prevent sunburn, but like any product use caution . It does not prevent skin cancer. You definitely do not want to use it on broken or damaged skin. What I love about this lotion is that it does contain sunscreen. I also love the fragrance. First I want to say I really love this make-up sponge. It gives me an even application, which is a bonus. It's soft and applies make-up easily. It is easy to clean and is reusable. This little pink make-up sponge is the ideal make-up sponge. It is perfect for reaching those hard spots on your face. If you are into painting then this product is for you. The wooden easel set comes with 12 acrylic paints, four paint brushes, a pencil, plastic palette tray, a palette knife and canvas. The wooden easel stands and looks very nice. In my opinion it is not as sturdy as I would like it, but it does it's job. The colors of the paint are nice and vibrant.
